We were delighted to donate 20 laptops and 20 computers to Horizons for Youth. These laptops will be used to facilitate their programs to help prepare the youth for independent living by providing much-needed skills they need to survive. The youth will also use the computers for their own for practice, applying for jobs, creating resumes/cover letters, making appointments and much-needed connections.
Horizons for Youth is a shelter for at-risk and homeless youth aged 16-24 in Toronto. They seek to do more than simply shelter our youth by offering one-on-one Case Management, Mental Health & Addictions services, Housing Support, an engaging Day Program and Community Support & Aftercare. These holistic programs help their residents leave the streets behind.
“Horizons for Youth would like to thank the Electronics Recycling Association for the computer monitor and desktop donation.” Said Phil Tran Trinh, Development Assistant at Horizons for Youth. “Our staff and residents are very excited! With your support, Horizons will be able to provide better services that will equip our residents with digital literacy skills. “
